Mlandizi Vocational Training Center aims to equip mentallly challenged young people with abilities to enter a professional career or to work self employed. The Center is still in the construction stage.

The Center builds on the work of Mtoni Diaconic Center which runs a school for mentally handicapped children. After completing school these children often remain without a perspective to lead a life of their own. Mlandizi Vocational Training Center is the first institution in Tanzania which prepares mentally handicapped to support themselves in environment of a modern society.
